The Marion Cultural Alliance (MCA), in partnership with the City of Ocala, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Commission, and Juneteenth Celebration Committee, is excited to unveil the headliner lineup for the 2023 Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series. The series is sponsored in part by the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, a national funder of creative placemaking that empowers communities to inject new life into underused public spaces. The Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series will present 10 free, family-friendly concerts to the public this summer.

The Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series will take place at Webb Field at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreation Complex located at 1510 NW Fourth St. Concerts will take place every Friday, April 14 through June 23 (excluding May 26), 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is free, and the public is invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs to the concerts.

The 2023 Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series will feature a diverse lineup of high-caliber talent spanning musical genres. In addition, the series will celebrate Black Music Month in June with African American and Black musicians and a partnership with Ocala’s Juneteenth Celebration Committee.

2023 Levitt AMP Ocala Music Headlining Lineup:

  • Friday, April 14 – Veronica Lewis (Blues/R&B)
  • Friday, April 21 – SambaDá (Brazilian Fusion)
  • Friday, April 28 – Bassel & the Supernaturals (Funk)
  • Friday, May 5 – The Harlem Gospel Travelers (Gospel)
  • Friday, May 12 – Shayna Steele (Soul)
  • Friday, May 19 – The Malpass Brothers (Classic Country)
  • Friday, June 2 – Chris Pierce (Singer-Songwriter/Folk)
  • Friday, June 9 – Vox Sambou (Haitian traditional rhythms/Hip Hop/Reggae/AfroBeat)
  • Friday, June 16 – Yusa (World)
  • Friday, June 23 – Shamarr Allen (Jazz/Hip Hop)

Each concert will also spotlight a local non-profit organization, who will conduct a special activity or performance during the event’s intermission.

The event will feature food trucks and Ocala Recreation Mobile with fun activities. The 2023 Levitt AMP Ocala Music Series is sponsored by the Levitt Foundation, Ocala Electric Utility, Downtown Billiards, 98.5 KTK, Kona Ice Ocala, Angie Lewis State Farm, TJM Promotions, and Mojo’s Grill and Catering.
