Rep. Kat Cammack, serving Florida’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, recently took to social media to share her perspectives on ongoing legislative discussions. Her comments focused on the debates within the House Commerce Committee and criticisms from Democratic colleagues.

On May 14, 2025, Rep. Cammack retweeted a post by Mike Lee with a comment: “Meanwhile, on the Dem side of the aisle… “. This tweet alludes to perceived actions or attitudes of Democratic members during legislative proceedings.

Later that day, at 03:27 UTC, she tweeted about an extended session of markup by the House Commerce Committee regarding significant legislation. She noted: “Hour 9 of @HouseCommerce markup on the big, beautiful bill. Dems have falsely repeatedly that our legislation is to ‘give tax breaks to billionaires’ over 100x.” Cammack refuted these claims by referencing a report from the nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation.

Continuing into early morning hours at 08:37 UTC, Rep. Cammack expressed frustration over repeated assertions made by her political opponents during an Energy and Commerce Committee markup session. She stated: “4:30am – hour 14 of E&C markup. The left keeps repeating the same lie over and over.” She emphasized that while differing opinions are acceptable, facts remain constant.

Kat Cammack was born in Denver in 1988 and currently resides in Gainesville. She graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a Bachelor’s degree in 2015.
