Marion County, Florida issued the following announcement on January 3.
Marion County To Hold Four Career Fairs In January
Fairs to help county fill more than 60 open positions throughout various departments
Marion County is hiring for more than 60 positions across 18 departments, and anyone interested in working for the county is invited to attend one of four career fairs throughout the month of January.
With positions available in departments including Animal Services, Library, Environmental Services, Parks & Recreation, and more, now is the time to join the Marion County team!
All full-time positions working 35 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, including health, life, dental, vision, and long-term disability insurance, and they also can participate in the Florida Retirement System.
All employees also have access to the Employee Wellness Center, which offers fitness classes and workout machines and is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Employee Assistance Program also offers free benefits such as counseling, personal and professional development, and legal assistance. Employees enrolled in one of the county’s health insurance plan also receive free medical visits, x-rays, and other services through the Employee Medical Center at Heart of Florida.
Those interested in joining the Marion County team should attend one of four career fairs later this month throughout the county. Hiring managers and other staff will be holding on-the-spot interviews for certain positions, and applications for other positions and volunteer opportunities will also be available at the fairs.
Marion County is proud to follow the HICARD core values — humbleness, integrity, commitment, accountability, respect, and discipline, and we are eager to welcome new team members who help us continue to embody those values.
