The Marion County Board of County Commissioners adopted the final budget for next fiscal year, which runs from Oct. 1, 2022 to Sept. 30, 2023. The total adopted budget is $1,204,226,719. This includes the countywide budget of $854,370,338 and the budgets of non-countywide entities ($349,856,381).

The countywide millage rate funds:
1. The county general fund, which includes the following:

Not included: Solid Waste, Building Safety, Utilities, Visitors and Convention Bureau, Airport and the Office of the County Engineer (transportation/roads).
