OCALA/MARION COUNTY, Fla.—The Ocala/Marion County Visitors and Convention Bureau is excited to welcome a new member to the sales team, Chelsea Bell, Group Sales Coordinator. This position is responsible for the sales and marketing initiatives of the county as a group travel destination.
Bell earned her Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Florida Gulf Coast University, has more than 10 years of experience in resort operations and is a Certified Guest Service Professional with American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute. Previously working in management for Royal Pacific Resort Loews Hotels Universal Orlando and Royal Shell Real Estate’s vacation rental division, Bell has played a leading role in bringing various travel groups to Florida.
“Chelsea will be a fantastic addition to our growing department and her direct experience in sales and hospitality will further diversify the talent and knowledge of our VCB team,” said Loretta Shaffer, Tourism Development Director for Marion County. “As our destination continues to evolve with new assets like the World Equestrian Center and the Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training Facility, our sales efforts, and staff to support these efforts, also needed to expand. Chelsea will be a great addition to enhancing the sales and marketing of Ocala/Marion County to event, meeting and sports planners.”
