NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING THE MARION COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPSEMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANTCONSOLIDATED ANNUAL PERFORMANCE AND EVALUATION REPORT (CAPER) FOR FY 2021-2022
Notice to Citizens:
The Marion County Board of County Commissioners annually receives federal entitlement funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) programs. The Marion County Board of County Commissioners must demonstrate how activities implemented with these funds address Strategic Plan objectives and priorities identified in its 2019-2024 Consolidated Plan. The CAPER includes a summary of programmatic accomplishments and an assessment of progress toward meeting the priority needs and specific objectives identified in the Consolidated Plan.
Public Hearing:
Marion County Community Services will hold a public hearing on the FY 2021-2022 CAPER and to obtain the views of citizens on housing and community development needs, including priority non-housing community development needs, to review program performance for the preceding program year, and, if requested, to provide technical assistance on the development of potential activities on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at the Marion County Community Services Department, Growth Services Main Training Room, located at 2710 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala FL 34470. The public may submit written comments regarding the CAPER via email, Cheryl.Martin@marionfl.org; via telephone, 352-671-8770; and via the U.S. mail, 2710 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, Florida 34470.
Public Comment Period: As required by HUD, the CAPER will be available for public review and comment beginning 8:00 a.m. Thursday, December 8, 2022, through 5:00 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2022, during normal office hours at the Marion County Community Services Department, located at 2710 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, Florida 34470. The report may also be viewed on the Marion County Community Services Department website, http://www.marionfl.org/.
