A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Tuesday, Jan. 10, 11 a.m. to noon for the brand-new Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place, 1812 NW 21st Ave. This event is free and open to the public. Members of the media are encouraged to attend.
The project broke ground in January 2021 and received the official certificate of occupancy in December 2022. The newly created 41,750 square foot, two-story building includes designated indoor space for senior, youth, and family programs; a banquet/event space; fitness equipment and indoor walking track; two full basketball courts; a library and multi-purpose studio rooms.
