Agencies providing alcohol and substance abuse prevention, education, and treatment services in Marion County may benefit from a grants program that is now accepting proposals.

Through March 10, interested agencies may submit proposals to receive grant funding available through the Marion County Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Trust Fund. Assistance grants will be awarded to qualifying agency programs based on the following criteria: length of time the program has been in existence, program success, number of citizens served annually by the program, and available grant funds.

Grant funds will be provided on a reimbursement basis for programs taking place from Oct. 1, 2023-Sept. 30, 2024. A total of $25,000 is available for grant awards.

For more information about the Marion County Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Trust Fund grants program, visit marionfl.org/communityservices and browse the Health and Human Services section or contact Mike McCain at 352-438-2313 or michael.mccain@marionfl.org.
