The exhibit, Looking on the Brighter Side by Jennifer Weigel, is currently on display now through Monday, Jan. 9, 2023 at the Recreation and Parks Administration building, 828 NE Eighth Ave. and Eighth Avenue Adult Activity Center, 830 NE Eighth Ave, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The free exhibit is open to the public.
Jennifer Weigel is a multi-disciplinary mixed-media, conceptual artist, originally from Kansas. Weigel utilizes a wide range of media to convey her ideas, including assemblage, drawing, fibers, installation, jewelry, paint, performance, photography, video, and writing. Much of her work touches on themes of beauty, identity (especially gender identity), memory, and institutional critique. Weigel’s art has been exhibited nationally in all 50 states.
