Kat Cammack, currently serving as a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 3rd district, has recently shared several updates and announcements, highlighting her ongoing engagement with her community. Cammack, who took office in 2021 after succeeding Ted Yoho, has been active in participating in local events and monitoring critical situations within Florida.

In a post dated April 16, 2025, Cammack expressed enthusiasm about a visit from University of Florida students to her Gainesville office. She remarked, "Great to see UF students at our Gainesville office on behalf of Students for Life. Rep. Cammack is always so proud to see young people engaged on defending life and committed to protecting the most vulnerable among us. Thank you for visiting!" This visit emphasized her support for youth involvement in advocacy efforts.

On the following day, April 17th, 2025, Cammack announced an upcoming event known as Service Academy Day. She stated, "Our Service Academy Day is coming up next month on Saturday, May 17th from 9am-12pm at Buchholtz High School in Gainesville. This event aims to inform and guide prospective applicants about the nomination process for military service academies.

Later on April 17th, 2025, Cammack addressed a situation unfolding at Florida State University. Her statement read, "We’re closely monitoring the situation at Florida State and are praying for everyone involved. We thank the law enforcement agencies on the ground working to secure the campus and keep folks safe. Sending our support from Gainesville." This reflected her commitment to community safety and support for law enforcement.

Cammack, aged 35, was born in Denver, Colorado, in 1988 and now resides in Gainesville. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from Metropolitan State University of Denver, completed in 2015.
