UPDATED: Media advisory: Press Conference for Hurricane Ian Donation Send Off

To be held at 9:30 a.m. Tri-Eagles Sales, 1314 SW 17th St., Ocala
Marion County was narrowly missed by the horrendous impacts of Hurricane Ian. Marion County's caring community sent specialized task forces to support emergency rescue operations immediately after the storm had passed. Individuals, businesses, and agencies within Marion County created a countywide collection for items most in need by those who were hit the hardest.

The following organizations will have representatives on hand for a 9:30 a.m. press conference at Tri-Eagle Sales, 1314 SW 17th St., Ocala:

  • Marion County Board of County Board of County Commissioners
  • Marion County Fire Rescue
  • Marion County Sheriff’s Office
  • Florida Horse Park
  • Ocala/Marion County Chamber and Economic Partnership
  • Ocala Police Department
  • R&L Carriers
  • Tri-Eagle Sales
Following the press conference, R&L Carriers will depart Ocala for Lee County where the collected items will be provided to those in need.
